The group is an active member of the spanish “Geometry, Dynamics and Field Theory” (GDFT) Network (previously called “Geometry, Mechanics and Control” (GMC)), supported by Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación through the Project RED2022-134301-T.
The network “Geometry, Dynamics and Field Theory” aims to enlarge the thematic framework of the former network “Geometry, Mechanics and Control” to include topics related to geometric integration, the study of geometric aspects of dynamical systems and PDEs, and topological hydrodynamics. We plan to keep the regular activities of GMC (training school, network days, young researchers workshop and Iberoamerican meeting), but incorporating the aforementioned new topics. Moreover, we continue to bet on the training of young researchers, by supporting short stays at the different network institutions and by keeping regular online international seminars.
The organization of this network is based in on-going collaborations that have already been materialized in publications and joint activities between the different groups participating in the network. This fact guarantees the feasibility of the project, which incorporates at the same time some young researchers, who have received an excellent preparation in well-known research centers and who proportionate the network a guaranty of continuity for future activities.
